Tile Treatments

Get rid of that soapy film on ceramic tile walls or floors- wipe household cleaner ( either diluted or full strength) or a solution of 1part vinegar and 4 parts water over them. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and buff tiles to prevent streaking.

For stained or mildewed grouting apply a bleach solution of (3/4 cup liquid chlorine bleach to 1 gallon water) with a cloth, sponge or toothbrush (wear rubbergloves and old clothes in case of spattering), rinse thoroughly.

Run a typewriter eraser over grouting to make it come clean.
