Thank you for being a Frugal Victoria reader! To celebrate, we are giving away a copy of the 2010 Entertainment Book for Victoria and area which expires in November. There's still lots of useful coupons -- more if you choose to register your book online.
Earlier this month, we held a poll to determine how to give it away and it was soooo close that for this one we are going to go with a random comment below. (Note that you'll need to create an account to add a comment and that comments will be held for moderation -- this is only because we hate spam!! Trust me, your information will not be sold, bartered, or likely even viewed.) Our next giveaway will be by way of a scavenger hunt.
Rules:
- One comment per person, please.
- Winner will be selected on Monday August 30th using randomizer.org to select the winning comment number.
- If the winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours, another number will be selected.
- Arrangements will be made for pick-up/drop-off or mailing of the Entertainment Guide ASAP so the winner can start saving!
By the way, while we are not restricting this to Victoria residents, this particular prize is not going to be as much use to those of you outside the CRD.

Hello from the Cabin!
just wanted to put something into my comment so here goes. Have been on Twitter for sometime, I saw the Frugal Victoria comment on the #yyj column and because I do love my city and do love to save (very tight tight tight..so-tight-you-couldn't-squeeze-a-penny-in...budget)
I knew I had to connect to Frugal Victoria right away in Twitter form..then I went to the page and signed up too!
Thanks for being here and here's one tip to save on reusable razors : after every use rinse and dry thoroughly and then place the razor in a small cup of mineral or baby oil. This will usually double the life of your disposable blades which can be very expensive.

Thanks to Cabin 12 on my facebook, I was introduced to this site. We are new to Victoria and I am sooo glad that I found this site. There is so much information on here. It is great to find out about all the bargins around the city, but I have to say, that I also find this site very very interesting. It has given us so much information about all the different things going on around the city that we would other wise not have known about. What a great way to get introduced to Victoria.
