Macquarie University Orientation Week

Orientation Week – or ‘O Week’ for short – is when you’ll really discover the Macquarie campus.

O Week is held the week before classes start each session. You can meet fellow students; find out about student groups, support services and extracurricular programs; and pick up some freebies along the way.

Student support

Uni is exciting, but it can also be challenging, especially when you’re a new student. We understand these challenges, so we have comprehensive support services that you can access throughout your time with us.

Macquarie offers a suite of free and confidential services - counselling, disability support, medical and welfare services, accommodation, academic writing and numeracy support, and our career and employment service. We also have facilities and programs like our high-tech library, MUSE (our exciting social learning space), Womens’ Room and Queer Space, start-up incubator spaces and peer programs such as PAL/PASS and
